Sunderland are scouting youth talent in Spain.
Sunderland have been casting the net for talent in the town of Pravia, Asturias. A group of 77 children in Pravia have been trialing with the Black Cats.
"Asturias is a land of great footballers. We've come here because we're looking for the new Mata, the new Villa or the new Cazorla. We see a lot of quality in the training sessions we hold with the kids, there's a great grassroots scene in the north of Spain and we believe we can unearth a gem or two here," explained Michael Havelock, a Sunderland academy coach, to Marca.
Kids from all over Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country and even Madrid and the Balearic Islands have attended the Premier League tests.
