Sunderland go for QPR striker Johnson

Sunderland are chasing QPR striker Andy Johnson.

The People says Gus Poyet, the Black Cats' manager, wants to bring QPR's fit-again striker Andrew Johnson in on loan to solve his goal-scoring problems.

Johnson, who missed most of last season with a cruciate ligament injury, has been used mostly on the bench by QPR boss Harry Redknapp this campaign and is desperate for regular first-team action.
