Sunderland boss Roy Keane is ready to go back to Manchester United for another new signing in Ryan Shawcross.

The Mirror says Welsh Under-21 prospect was on the staff at Old Trafford in the final days of the former skipper's reign.

Shawcross caught Keane's eye as a kid and now the Black Cats chief is watching him in case he can be sneaked out of United on a permanent basis.
