Sunderland get Bridge on cheap as Man City pay £70,000-a-week

Sunderland have signed Manchester City fullback Wayne Bridge on-loan.

The Daily Star says City agreed to cough up £70,000-a-week during his stay at the Stadium of Light.

Bridge is expected to make his debut for Martin O’Neill’s side in tonight’s clash with Norwich at the Stadium of Light.

But Sunderland are only ­dishing out £20,000 of his ­weekly wage, meaning City will still have to fork out £1m to the defender while he is playing for another club.
