Sunderland fullback Phil Bardsley says a repeat of the passion showed in their FA Cup draw at Everton will see them over the line in the replay.
The Scottish international netted his first goal of the season with a fine low drive from outside the box after latching onto a quick free-kick by Jack Colback.
"It was a great spot by Jack [Colback] and I knew I had quite a bit of room to get the shot off - fortunately enough for me I hit the target," the defender told SAFC TV.
"I was expecting Seb [Larsson] to cross it because we all know he's got fantastic delivery, but fortunately Jack spotted me in space and I managed to hit the back of the net.
"Before kick-off our aim was to still be in the competition and be in the draw for the next round and we've done that, so we're all delighted."Tim Cahill equalised soon afterwards, but Bardsley was simply happy to see his side's name in the hat for the semi-finals.
