Sunderland fullback Phil Bardsley says Martin O'Neill's back-to-basics approach has lifted the club.
The Black Cats have bagged an incredible 19 points out of 27 since O'Neill took over as manager.
"He says things to you and you think, 'Oh yeah, that's right'.
"It's not massive things, it's just his presence and the things he says.
"He's a great person to learn from." And Sunderland right-back Bardsley admitted: "It's been so simple. The manager has changed things around with simple things.
