Sunderland fullback Marcos Angeleri has announced he's leaving to return to Estudiantes.

Angeleri has struggled to settle in England, making only three league appearances.

"I am going home to stay," he said. "I had contact with Independiente and San Lorenzo but I have given my word to the club. It is my second home. I always wanted to return to Argentina."
