Sunderland face delays in announcing the deals for Simon Mignolet and Marcos Angeleri.
The Sunderland Echo says the pair have returned to their home countries having agreed deals to move to Wearside.
The i's have to be dotted and the t's crossed on four and five-year contracts respectively.
And for that reason the signings will not be announced immediately - Mignolet's move is expected to be rubber-stamped next week and Angeleri's in perhaps a fortnight's time.
But the players and the club have agreed terms, medicals have been taken and the moves will happen.
