Sunderland face a battle to convince Lille striker Salomon Kalou about moving to Wearside.

The Lille forward, who spent six years at Chelsea, says the chances of him moving during the transfer window are '50-50'.

But, if the 29-year-old does leave, Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchengladbach are understood to be favourites to sign him.

Kalou said: "My departure from Lille? It is 50-50. The German league is good for forwards."
