Sunderland are keen on Hellas Verona midfielder Emil Hallfredsson.

The Daily Star says the Black Cats have already snapped up Juventus midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini and reports in Italy now claim they're heading back to Serie A to strengthen their squad.

Hallfredsson is thought to be a perfect signing for the North-East outfit, who only narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League last term.
