Sunderland are eyeing Sheffield United striker Diego De Girolamo.
The Sunderland Echo says Sunderland appear to be in pole position to land Sheffield United teenager De Girolamo after the striker rejected a new contract at Bramall Lane.
The youngster's current deal expires in June.
He has this week moved on-loan to York City.
