Sunderland are being linked with Inter Milan striker Dani Osvaldo.

The Mail on Sunday says Osvaldo is likely to be offered back to Southampton this week from his loan spell at Inter Milan, and in turn the Saints could offer the player to other clubs.

Sunderland, among others, would be interested.

Osvaldo has been frozen out from Inter's first team by coach Roberto Mancini after a furious on-field bust-up with Mauro Zarate last week.
