Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is believed to be interested in Wolfsburg's Sotirios Kyrgiakos.
The Greek centre-back left Liverpool for the German Bundesliga last summer but has failed to make an impact with Wolfsburg and could be on his way back to the Premier League.
Sky Sports suggests that O'Neill is keen to strengthen his central defence as he has a number of injuries in that position and could offer Kyrgiakos a path back to England.
