Sunderland are eyeing FC Basel goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik.
Black Cats boss David Moyes has major concerns with his keeper options, particularly with Vito Mannone still sidelined.
The Newcastle Chronicle says Vaclik is now being watched leading up to the January market.
Just this week, the Czech Republic international declared: “I love the culture of the football here and everything around the Premier League - the atmosphere in the stadiums and even out of the stadiums in the cities.
"Since I was a child I have had a dream to play in the Premier League as I think it is the most difficult league for the goalkeeper. I would like to see if I can play on this level. It would be nice to play here."
