Sunderland expect to get a clear run at West Bromwich Albion midfielder Keith Andrews.

Andrews is on a short-term deal to June at Albion, having arrived at the Hawthorns in January from Blackburn Rovers.

Baggies boss Roy Hodgson has stated he won't stand in Andrews' way should he receive a rival offer at the end of the season.

Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is keen to bring Andrews to the Northeast for next season.
