Sunderland, Everton keen on Besiktas striker Almeida

Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill is believed to be weighing up a move for Besiktas striker Hugo Almeida.

The 27-year old Portugal international has reportedly fallen out with the Turkish club because of financial issues and could be set for a move to England with Everton also showing interest.

Almeida, who is valued at £3million, is wanted by the Black Cats on a six-month loan as O’Neill looks to strengthen his strikeforce.
