Sunderland, Everton chasing Man City winger Johnson

Sunderland and Everton are eyeing Manchester City winger Adam Johnson.

The Daily Star says Johnson is ready to quit Premier League champions Manchester City.

That has alerted Sunderland and Everton, who will lead the chase. Johnson moved from Middlesbrough in 2010 and last season signed a new, long-term City deal.

But the winger has become increasingly disillusioned at his lack of first-team chances.

And his failure to win a place in Roy Hodgson's Euro 2012 squad has convinced him to move on.
