Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has sent goalkeeper Craig Gordon for more tests regarding his knee injury.
The 28-year old Scottish gloveman has made just over 30 appearances since the beginning of the 2009/10 season and has been sidelined for the past 10 months and O'Neill is keen to have him available as soon as possible.
"He's been out for a long time, and obviously he's anxious to get back.""Craig is going to undergo a number of tests, and we'll see how he is after that," O'Neill told the Shields Gazette.
