Sunderland are due a tidy windfall from their Peace Cup campaign in South Korea.
The Sunday Sun says the Peace Cup adventure could add another £2m to Martin O'Neill's transfer coffers.
The Black Cats jet out to South Korea tomorrow for the lucrative pre-season competition, which will pit them against K-League club Seongnam, and either German side SV Hamburg or Dutch outfit FC Groningen.
But the gruelling 11,000-mile round trip to South-East Asia will be worthwhile if Sunderland pick up the estimated £2m prize money awaiting the winners.
