Adidas has become the new kit supplier of Sunderland, reports SportsPro. The German sportwear giant will supply matchday and training apparel to the club for the first time from June 2012.
The deal, which Sunderland agreed with Adidas' UK distribution partner Kitbag Sports, will also see the brand create a range of official replicas and other merchandise, with the new away kits and training wear available to supporters from 5th July and the new home kit set to launch on 18th July.
Sunderland chief executive Margaret Byrne said: "We are delighted to welcome Adidas as an official partner of Sunderland AFC. Our aim is to increase Sunderland's international profile and, as one of the world leaders in their field, we are very much looking forward to working with the dynamic team at Adidas."
