Sunderland defender Michael Turner is undergoing a Norwich City medical.
PA Sport says the 28-year-old headed for East Anglia after the two clubs agreed terms on a deal.
Turner appears to be surplus to requirements on Wearside following the capture of free agent Carlos Cuellar and Titus Bramble's return to contention.
