Sunderland defender Nedum Onuoha felt for Aston Villa's Richard Dunne after his own goal gifted them the points on Saturday.
Former Manchester City team-mate Onuoha has been on the receiving end of Dunne's misfortune a few times but the now-Sunderland man had nothing but praise for the Irishman.
"I spent a lot of time looking up to Dunney when I was a kid and I still do," said Onuoha. "He has got a few over the years hasn't he, but he has done more good than bad. He is a hell of a player.
"We never really joked about it when it happened and I wouldn't because I've always looked up to him. It is like a striker, he finds himself in the right place but does the wrong thing. It is an occupational hazard as a defender."
