Sunderland defender Lamine Kone insists they can still stay up.

Despite winning just one of their last 10 league games, Kone has not given up on another great escape.

“We know we're running out of time but this is not finished yet," said the centre half.

“There are still plenty of games for us to keep ourselves safe and we have to believe we can do it.

“We have to play a lot of the teams that are around us in the table and they are the games that will decide things.

“City were very strong but se will have to play Swansea, Middlesbrough, Hull and Burnley who are our next game.

“They will be different challenges and we need to win them to make things look a bit better."
