Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand says on-loan Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck has been tipped for greatness - by his bother Rio, the England captain.
Ferdinand has been impressed by the on-loan Manchester United forward, who brother Rio tipped him off about when Welbeck was still 16.
"I don't know what's changed," he said of Welbeck's sudden burst of goals. "He's playing with confidence and getting a run in the team. When you get that, you've got a great chance to show what you can do and he's doing that.
"My brother said to maybe three-and-a-half years ago there was a lad at Man U named Danny Welbeck and he's going to be a player. He's got to be England class, ask my brother. Since he's come to Sunderland I've been very impressed by him. He hasn't disappointed me in any way, shape or form considering that's come from the England captain."
