Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown expects pelters from Liverpool fans when he lines up for Sunderland at Anfield.
Anyone with the slightest Red Devils connection is handed a typically warm welcome from the Kop.
But for United stalwarts like Brown and boss Steve Bruce, the boos are cranked right up to the max. Neither care though and both are ready to put an instant dampener on Liverpool's soaring title hopes.
Brown said: "It's always good playing there. Liverpool are a great club.
"It'll be difficult because they are at home first game and will be fired up.
"The pressure will be on them although it is on us as well because we have to do well too.
"We have to go out there and try to win the game.
"I'll definitely be getting some stick from their fans. But I like that. Definitely.
"Some players take it in different ways but, for me, it just gets me going. The more I get, the better. It makes you play harder.
"I get a few Manc shouts, that sort of stuff. You don't really hear what they are saying, you just know it is going on.
"You are focused on your game but it always drives me on. The manager will get a bit too as well, I'm sure."
