Sunderland have agreed a partnership with the Tanzanian Tourist Board, reports, www.sportspromedia.com. The agreement sees Tanzania become Sunderland's official destination partner and, according to an official press release, 'aims to use the global reach of the Barclays Premier League to promote the country as a tourist destination'.
The deal extends Sunderland's presence in Africa after the team signed a sponsorship deal with not-for-profit organisation Invest in Africa in January 2012 and a principle partnership with BFS Group Limited in May 2013.
The team also has a deal in place with the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
