Sunderland midfielder Stephane Sessegnon is to undergo a scan after suffering an ankle injury in training on Tuesday. However, boss Martin O'Neill is hopeful that the problem is only minor and that he could yet figure at Leicester on Saturday.
He told the club's official website: "Sessegnon hurt his ankle in training yesterday and I don't know whether he will make Wednesday's night's game.
"Hopefully he will be okay for Saturday's match. He's actually going for a scan this afternoon."
