Sunderland are pushing to close a deal for Swedish youngster Valmir Berisha.

The Sunderland Echo says Sunderland are said to have offered the Halmstads teenager a contract right now, in a bid to head off interest further on down the line with the Black Cats believed to be able to get the Albania-born striker for as little as £200,000 compensation.

Berisha has scored 13 goals in 17 appearances for the Swedish Under 17 side.
