Argentina U21 star Diego Buonanotte is being tracked by Sunderland boss Steve Bruce.

The News of the World says Bruce had the diminutive Buonanotte, just 5ft 2in, watched as he starred for Argentina's Under-21 side at the Toulon tournament in June.

The River Plate star is ready to move to Europe but the unfashionable Black Cats will face a fight to land the 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who has also caught the eye of Inter Milan and Juventus.
