Partizan Belgrade midfielder Radosav Petrovic is a target for Sunderland.

The News of the World says the 20-year-old is available for around £3million and would add physical presence to Steve Bruce's side as they bid to arrest an alarming slump which continued with their 4-3 defeat at Manchester City yesterday.

Bruce wants a left back, a wide midfielder and a central midfielder - all with physical presence - during the transfer window.

The 6ft 4in Petrovic, a defensive midfielder, is expected to star for Serbia in the World Cup finals and has also interested Birmingham.
