Sunderland chasing Man City striker Benjani

Sunderland are chasing Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari.

The People says Roy Keane is ready to turn to City's Benjani following the injury to Kenwyne Jones.

Black Cats boss Keane thinks he can land Benjani, 29, for £5million.

He moved to Eastlands only in January but new gaffer Mark Hughes wants added firepower, with his old Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz top of the hit-list.

Keane can offer Benjani first-team football and match his City wages of £40,000 a week.
