Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is chasing Benfica veteran Nuno Gomes.
The Independent says Bruce is readying a bid for Benfica's veteran Portuguese striker Nuno Gomes, despite the club's manager, Jorge Jesus, insisting the 33-year-old still has a future at the club.
The former Fiorentina star has also been linked with West Ham United.
