Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn will see his old partner in crime Kevin Phillips in Birmingham City colours today.
The pair are legends on Wearside and Quinn admits he envies Phillips' longevity.
Irishman Quinn, 43, admitted: "The other Sunday I saw Kevin score those two goals against Wolves and everything came flooding back.
"I was as jealous as hell of him. I just thought 'you little s**t, I can't believe you are still playing'.
"He was a great player for this club but for me he was more than that. He was everything a professional footballer should be.
"He is a phenomenal sporting guy. I remember going golfing with him one time. He hadn't played in three years but still shot a 75 with a duff set of clubs. I played snooker with him and he gets a 50 break.
"He is a very special kind of a fella. It never went to his head. He was always one of the group, would never come out and try to be different."
