Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn says Ricky Sbragia's job isn't safe - even if he keeps the club up.
Quinn explained: "If we stay up on goal difference in the 93rdminute, it might not be so simple. There is another decision to be made on Ricky maybe later on. He has got an extra 12 months. We did that because we wanted to take some of the pressure off Ricky.
"We do not know what is going to happen. We have got to see what the future is. It is an opportunity for him, Ricky has said that himself, and he has dealt with it admirably until now.
"Obviously if it's very traumatic or if there's trouble in the camp - there's loads of reasons why that might not be the right thing to do.
"But he has a year to fall back on, and he'll be well rewarded for keeping us up."
