Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn admits they're delighted with the impact of Darren Bent since his arrival from Tottenham.
Quinn thinks Sunderland will reap the rewards if Bent is picked for this summer's World Cup.
"It's the biggest thing ever," he told The Journal. "It turned me in to a footballer.
"I was in awe of everybody and delighted to be on the plane. I was in doubt because I hadn't played for Arsenal much that year but on deadline day, near enough, in March I got a move to Man City, played the last nine games, did very well, and scored a few goals.
"We were on the bottom when I came, we survived comfortably so my confidence was high."
