Sunderland captain O'Shea says Poyet must stay

Sunderland skipper John O'Shea insists manager Gus Poyet must be kept on.

O'Shea has issued a plea to owner Ellis Short: "Stick by Gus Poyet".

"You can't keep changing your managers," said the Republic of Ireland player, who spent 13 years under Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

"It's fairly clear that we should stick with the current manager."
