Sunderland are on the brink of a £5 million deal for Manchester City defender Richard Dunne.
The Sun says Black Cats sources say talks are at an advanced stage and the Ireland defender, 29, is keen on a move to Wearside.
Dunne would be manager Steve Bruce's first signing and could provide some much-needed experience in the Sunderland back line.
