Sunderland boss wants Man Utd's Simpson

Sunderland boss Roy Keane hopes to bring Manchester United fullback Danny Simpson back to Wearside next season.

Jonny Evans has declared he will be staying at United after last season's successful loan with the Black Cats, however Keane has not given up hope of bringing Simpson back to the North-East.

The right-back also moved from Manchester United to Sunderland on loan last season and Sir Alex Ferguson could be more receptive to the idea of sending him back out on loan as he is unlikely to figure in his first-team plans.
