Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia slaughtered his players after allowing Tottenham a late equaliser on the weekend.
Sbragia was livid that so many simple commands that he spent a week drumming in to his players were forgotten in the heat of battle, as Sunderland squandered a lead with a minute to go.
Djibril Cisse, Kenwyne Jones, Kieran Richardson, George McCartney and Steed Malbranque were among those in the dock.
Sbragia said: "They keep putting up their hands and say: 'Yeah, we understand' - well do it. That's the annoying thing for me. We've been telling them for 14 weeks. Christ, I might have to send a note out to them.
"They'll have to write it down on their hands. Felt-tip pen? I think I'm going to have to use one.
"I would probably have been happy with a point beforehand but I'm disappointed with the lack of discipline. I need a beer, a couple of beers, flipping hell."
