Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia has played down reports of Peter Reid returning to the club from Thailand as a football director.

"I spoke to Niall (Quinn) last week about it and we'll just leave everything to the summer, no name's been identified to help out with the coaching," he said.

"Peter Reid? The papers have seen Reidy looking well on the TV and maybe jumped to conclusions, but no one's been identified.

"Quinny's probably the director of football because he deals with that but, yes, we'll look at bringing someone in on the coaching side in the summer."
