Sunderland boss Sbragia hoping to do Man Utd favour at Liverpool

Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia believes they can end Liverpool's title challenge tomorrow at Anfield.

"I think Liverpool have to believe that they can catch Manchester United, but Man U have been there year after year - they know what to expect and, if anything, I think they will increase the gap and pull away," said Sbragia, who spent three years on Sir Alex Ferguson's coaching staff at Old Trafford.

"The big game will come in two weeks' time when Liverpool have to go to Old Trafford.

"I can't see Man U dropping many points in the run-in, to be honest.

"In the first half of the season, Man U had a lot of injuries and had to keep chopping and changing their side but now they are all back and fit again.

"We want to take at least a point on Tuesday night and if we do, that will be another setback for Liverpool.

"But we're not going there to try and help Man U win the title, we want to get something for ourselves, to keep our unbeaten run going and hopefully push on into the top half of the table."
