Sunderland boss Gus Poyet says he's ready to throw Duncan Watmore into the Premier League survival battle.
Watmore broke his leg at the end of last year, but is now back and has been integrated into the first-team squad.
"I think he was becoming an important player and then he got injured, unfortunately, before Christmas," said the Uruguayan.
"That was a big disappointment because he was out for two months-plus. He's only had a couple of games of 20, 30 minutes in his recovery (for the under-21s).
"But it (his Premier League debut) will come.
"We've got Ricky back, and Jack (Rodwell) and Watmore.
"Sooner or later, he's going to get his chance."
