Sunderland boss Poyet wants to keep Gardner

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has no plans to lose Craig Gardner.

The Mirror says Gardner is thought to be on the radar of QPR, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest, who are all interested in tying up a loan deal.

But Poyet wants to hold onto him until closer to the March 28 emergency loan deadline, with Sunderland firmly in the relegation scrap.
