Sunderland boss Gus Poyet admits Santi Vergini's form could earn him a start in the Capital One Cup final.
Vergini will face Arsenal today in place of the suspended Wes Brown.
Poyet said: "A few weeks ago, it was natural Wes Brown and John O'Shea would play.
"Since then, Santiago has played very well against Southampton and we won 1-0 - and if we go to Arsenal, play well and keep another clean sheet, what then?
"I cannot imagine the problem I am going to have next weekend.
"It will be a very good problem to have, from my point of view - but for the pair of them (Vergini and Brown) it is not a good problem!"
