Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is chasing his son Diego, the Charlton Athletic midfielder.
The Daily Star says Poyet wants to bring in up to five new faces to boost the Black Cats' battle to beat the drop.
His son Diego, 18, a highly-rated midfielder at Charlton, is understood to be a target.
