Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is delighted with his current strike-pairing.
Poyet has seen Connor Wickham and Steven Fletcher's understanding blossom in recent weeks, predicts more to come from the pair.
He said: "I played them because of the last two (pre-season) friendlies against Real Betis and Udinese because they connected so well in those two games.
"They did plenty of things very well against Leicester. They like playing together and they are getting to know each other much better so there are only good things to come."
