Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has offered fresh hope to summer signing Cabral.
The midfielder has barely featured since his summer arrival.
Poyet said: "He's been in contention for every game. We play one way and at the moment we've been using Lee (Cattermole), Seb (Larsson) and Jack (Colback) and Craig (Gardner) and he may have a chance."
