Sunderland boss Gus Poyet admits he's relieved to get through a first 12 months in the job.

After a topsy-turvy first campaign on Wearside, Poyet's plotting a calmer course this time around.

He said: "It doesn't seem like a year, more like seven!

"We've played so many games and had too many ups and downs."
