Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has defended Manchester United winger Ashley Young over his apparent dive yesterday.

During Sunday's draw, Young was booked for diving as Wes Brown tried to win the ball.

But Poyet insisted: "The only problem with Ashley is his reputation. Before he even went for the ball everyone is expecting for him to jump. With that reputation it's a problem.

"I don't think it was a yellow card. I'm not sure if it was a penalty."
