Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has likened Lee Cattermole to former Chelsea teammate Dennis Wise.
Poyet backed his fiery midfielder after a first-half flashpoint in the Black Cats' 1-0 loss at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday which could have seen him sent off.
The Uruguayan joked: "He's my Dennis Wise. Wisey will kill me!
"I had a chat with Lee at half-time and all was OK. If he gets sent off, though, he's got a problem as there are other players desperate to play."
